Professional Training in Human Trafficking Recognition, Response & Prevention
The National Institute for Exploitation Prevention (NIEP) was established to bridge the gap between frontline professionals and the specialized knowledge needed to recognize, respond to, and prevent human trafficking.
NIEP delivers evidence-based, credentialed training programs designed to meet the professional development standards required by healthcare institutions, law enforcement agencies, government organizations, and corporate employers nationwide.
NIEP
Our Mission
NIEP was founded on a simple premise: the professionals most likely to encounter trafficking victims — emergency room physicians, patrol officers, caseworkers, HR directors — are rarely given adequate training to recognize the signs or respond appropriately.
That gap has consequences. Victims are missed. Abusers go unidentified. Prevention opportunities are lost.
NIEP exists to close that gap. We work with healthcare systems, law enforcement task forces, government agencies, and corporate organizations to deliver credentialed training that changes how professionals see and respond to exploitation.
Our programs are built on validated research, real-world field experience, and a commitment to accreditation-ready standards that make continuing education credits possible for multiple professional disciplines.

From keynote presentations to multi-day training intensives, NIEP programs are designed to fit your organization's professional development needs.
